Renault
RS01
Notes
The Renault RS01 is a purpose-built race car developed by Renault Sport for the Renault Sport Trophy one-make series. Powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine derived from the Nissan GT-R, producing approximately 500 horsepower through a sequential 7-speed gearbox with paddle shifters and rear-wheel drive configuration. The carbon fiber monocoque chassis with integrated steel roll cage provides exceptional rigidity while maintaining a dry weight of approximately 1,100 kg.
Designed for professional and semi-professional drivers, the RS01 features adjustable aerodynamics including front splitter and rear wing producing substantial downforce at speed. The suspension system uses double wishbones front and rear with adjustable dampers and anti-roll bars. Braking is handled by six-piston calipers with carbon-ceramic discs. The RS01 competed in the Renault Sport Trophy series from 2015-2018, providing an accessible yet competitive platform for endurance racing with the distinctive Renault Sport styling cues and proven GT-R derived powertrain.
