Three Sisters Race Circuit トラックマップ
Three Sisters Race Circuit の詳細、ラップタイム、動画

Three Sisters Race Circuit, located in Ashton-in-Makerfield, Greater Manchester, England, is a compact and challenging motorsport venue with a rich history in grassroots racing. Originally a motorcycle training area established in the late 1980s, it quickly evolved into a dedicated circuit, hosting a variety of club-level events and offering driver training programs. Its name derives from the three coal mining spoil heaps, locally known as the 'Three Sisters', that once dominated the surrounding landscape.

The circuit itself is a relatively short but technically demanding 1.5km (0.93 miles) in length. Its layout features a mix of tight corners, challenging cambers, and short straights, rewarding precision and car control. The track is predominantly flat, but subtle undulations add to the complexity. Key sections include the hairpin 'Wigan Bend,' a notorious overtaking spot, and the fast, flowing 'Esses' section, which requires commitment and accuracy. The circuit runs in a clockwise direction.

Three Sisters is particularly well-suited for karting, motorcycle racing, and smaller saloon car racing. It regularly hosts events such as kart championships, bike track days, and club-level car races, including those featuring Caterhams, Minis, and other popular club racing vehicles. The circuit also provides a valuable training ground for novice drivers and experienced racers alike, due to its technical nature and relatively low speeds. It's not suitable for high-speed formula racing or larger GT cars.

What makes Three Sisters unique is its intimate atmosphere and focus on accessibility. It's a true grassroots circuit, providing an affordable and engaging motorsport experience for enthusiasts of all levels. The close proximity of spectators to the track creates a vibrant atmosphere, and the challenging layout ensures that every lap is a test of skill. Its historical roots as a motorcycle training facility are still evident, adding to its distinctive character, and its location within a former industrial landscape provides a unique backdrop for motorsport action.
