The car was suffering from low speed understeer (T3 T12) For faster corners (T1 T2 T13) the balance felt great. It really shows the new aero mods are compensating for the lack of mechanical grip from the front tires. In the afternoon I ended up swapping the front tires with the rear tires and the low speed understeer completely went away. Looking at the data, with today’s conditions and setup including tires, I should have been able to do a 2:19.4. I just didn’t do a good enough job adjusting for the balance with my driving. Considering my previous PB was with brand new tires and on a cooler day, the car is definitely faster now. The car is running on stock headers, which is about 10 hp down. With a new set of tires and little bit cooler conditions, I’m certain that 218 would be possible.
