Sportmax GPA Pro

The Dunlop Sportmax GPA Pro is a DOT-approved road racing tire engineered for high-performance track use and competition. It caters to professional racers, club racers, and track-day enthusiasts seeking enhanced grip, precise handling, and consistent performance at the limit.

This tire utilizes a very soft compound formulated to deliver maximum grip on dry surfaces, enabling riders to achieve faster lap times and improved cornering speeds. Feedback from AMA riders indicates the tire provides exceptional edge grip, allowing for confident full-lean maneuvers, improved corner exits, and superior braking stability.

The Sportmax GPA Pro incorporates several advanced construction technologies. Carbon Fiber Technology (CFT) reinforces the sidewalls, enhancing cornering stability and providing predictable, smooth transitional steering characteristics. The rear tire features a Jointless Tread application, a process where the tread is continuously wound onto the carcass, enabling bi-directional use. This allows racers and track day riders to flip the tire's rotational direction, effectively utilizing the less-worn side and extending the tire's lifespan, particularly on tracks that favor one side of the tire. Furthermore, the tire employs N-TEC construction, combining a compliant cut-breaker design with a stiff, continuously wound aramid-fiber Jointless Band. The Sportmax GPA Pro also features continuously wound hex beads that enhance feel near cornering limits while being light and strong, improving steering response and cornering stability. A symmetrical tread pattern and Intuitive Response Profile (IRP) contribute to linear steering and enhanced feedback at various lean angles. Compared to its predecessor, the D211 GP-A, the GP-A Pro has an optimized land-to-sea ratio, placing more rubber in contact with the track surface for improved performance.
