This lap at Spring Mountain Motor Resort was completed on April 22, 2017, with ambient temperatures exceeding 90 degrees Fahrenheit. The car was running on new 245/40 Maxxis RC-1 tires. After making minor mistakes in the previous two laps, the driver, Andrew Kidd, achieved a clean lap, resulting in a time of 2:33.719 on the 3.1-mile "Mansel" configuration.

The vehicle, a 1990 Mazda Miata named "Rover," features a 1994 BP05 block/head engine with OEM 8.8:1 83mm pistons/rings, Manley forged rods, ACL Race bearings, ARP main studs, OEM VVT oil pump, Supertech valve springs, and a Supermiata harmonic damper. It retains stock valves, lifters, cams, crank, and ports, along with a stock BP05 intake manifold and Skunk2 throttle body.

For forced induction, it utilizes a Trackspeed EFR6258 turbo kit, a prototype Trackspeed FMIC kit, MSLabs MS3 Basic, and FlowForce 640cc injectors, producing 190whp at 9.5psi.

The drivetrain includes a 949Racing 7.25 metallic twin-disc clutch, an OEM 6-speed transmission, and an OEM 3.909 Torsen LSD.

Chassis modifications comprise a Trackspeed Superlite 11.75" front BBK with DTC-60 brake pads, a 10.9" rear rotor upgrade with DTC-60s, a Trackspeed prop valve kit, an NB front subframe, AST5100 DDP coilovers with 800/500 springs, a Racing Beat tubular FSB, ISC offset delrin bushings (FUCA only), poly/bronze hybrid bushings, and 949Racing 6UL 15x10 +25mm wheels. Aerodynamic enhancements include a Trackspeed prototype front air dam + splitter and an APR GT-250 64" rear wing on Singular mounts. The car weighs 2450lbs with the driver.

This build is suitable for Supermiata S1, CFRA GT4, NASA ST4, and other classes with a power-to-weight ratio in the 11-12:1 range.
