2:01:25 new personal best at Thunderhill East in the E46. Down from a 2:02:78.
I've been stuck at high 02's since 11/2023. Within a tenth a few times since but never beat it.
Track day was supposed to rain the entire day, heavily. Somehow, I got lucky and had two fairly dry sessions.
Was able to squeeze two 2:01s back-to-back. While chasing Roli in his G80 for both of them.
This was my first event that I had my MCS 2WR dialed in from the start of the day. Post initial test event last month. So really the initial track day for them.
Was also on sticker RE71RS. Rubber was also ready for the task. Car felt amazing. All that needs to be said.
Still have more to learn with what i can get away with on the MCS. As of now, i am already digging it.
Decided last minute to sign up for the SpeedSF Time Attack Challenge. Car was placed S4 with 13.5 points.
Not really a big-time attack guy over the years but i am fast in the rain and was out on a mission to PB. So, I decided to give it a go.
Seems my car is pretty competitive. As I ended up taking first place in the most crowded class. Just a cherry on top of a personal goal!
Car still has more in it with a full dry event. Not sure if I will have another East day before it gets repaved, sadly... Might be able to slip one last event in. This lap may stand as my E46 PB on "the old surface".
