1.22.54 new personal best at Thunderhill West in the F80.
After 3? attempts at West on RE71RS. Have finally snagged the 1.22 I have been after.
Purposely ran slower/enduro tires for the first few years I started tracking. Wanted to work my way up through tire quality as my driver mod progressed. The last 2 years I have stepped up to top shelf rubber. Have been on a mission to complete the "NorCal Grand Slam" as i like to call it:
Laguna: Sub 40
Sonoma: Sub 50
Thill East: Sub2
Thill West: 22
This was the last part of the puzzle and now completed every single goal I have had set over the last several years. This kind of puts an end to an era. Now I get to do the entire ordeal over with the slower E46M!
Could probably break into the 21's? With fresh tires and a cool winter day. Next 6 months or so will be very hot. So might be a while to find out if that is true or not. Wasnt running a tune for this event. Still trying to troubleshoot and make sure my misfire issue is resolved. Think there was an issue with the GTS tune + my pace + 91oct? Idk. Ran 1/3 100oct to keep that at bay today. No issues. Might be a few tenths if I went back to CS tune. In addition to these issues on the lap:
T1: Too much slip angle on exit
T3: Had the same issue on old PB lap. Dorito stableness was bad this lap. Lost base too much.
T6: While drifting the entire corner at 70mph in 3rd is dope. Not fast.
T7: Stayed in 3rd and didnt keep rpms up through corner this lap. Dropped to 2nd on exit and lost time. Needed to drop before apexing.
Audio was a little messed up. Not sure why it sounded so odd down the straights. Was fine in later sessions. Oh well.
