A very well-run track day by My GT Garage and the UTS Car Club at Luddenham Raceway.
The atmosphere in the paddock was fantastic all day, with a great group of people, plenty of track time and perfect conditions for chasing lap times. We had cool temperatures, dry weather and a mix of sunshine and cloud cover throughout the day.
The GR Yaris was faultless all day and didn’t miss a beat, while Rydanz R50, although are 4 days old, delivered huge grip and increase my confidence to push harder. The two major changes since my previous PB were the recent tune and the addition of the Cusco front and rear LSDs. The car now rotates much more aggressively and is far more eager to change direction. It is definitely more tail-happy than before and there were a couple of moments where being a little too greedy with the throttle made things interesting, but thankfully nothing more than a reminder to respect the setup.
The result was a new personal best, taking 1.1 seconds off my previous best lap and stopping the clock at 50.1 seconds. Even more encouraging was the optimum lap of 49.8 seconds, showing there is still almost four tenths left on the table for next time.
