This is my best attempt to put together a full lap around the Nordschleife with telemetry data and some added captions, recorded during the Skylimits trackday on August 14.

I know this isn’t the actual layout for a complete lap but it’s the best I could do with the footage I had. I just wanted to make this video inspired by Mr. Azcoitia (Yoshimura53) and his AE86 Nürburgring Under 9’ or Bust series, to pay a little tribute if you may say so. I think it’s funny that this actual lap ended up beating his time by just 1 second!

I was also surprised to see the 8:20BTG at the end of this lap, considering all the traffic and my lack of confidence in some corners. The fastest lap of the day was 8:12BTG and 8:42 full lap. Virtual best 8:08BTG and 8:38 full lap. There’s always room for improvement, so I look forward to my next visit :)

Check engine light ON because of an ignition coil issue(prone to failure in these cars), which happened on the second lap of the day. I doesn’t really affect performance but you can see it did 2 times during this lap, even applying some brakes while I was going full throttle over Mutkurve.

Tomei's midpipe didn't survive and broke half-way through the day, you can hear some noises here and there coming from the pipe hitting the transmission tunel. At this point I didn't care anymore.


Sound was recorded using an external mic located in the boot.
