Thunderhill West with its tight corners keeps challenging me on the RCE coilovers. Trying to fix something with a Battle Garage rear ARB relocation bracket and a stiffer 19 mm Eibach rear ARB, I ended up making the car worse elsewhere while not fixing what I was trying to fix. As a result, the first session was wasted trying to tame a car that would do anything other than going straight (while overheating the rear tires) instead of capitalizing on cool temperatures. I tweaked the damper knobs and adjusted my driving to put down this 1:27.324 lap time, but it's at least half a second off what I thought I was capable off. A new competitor also leapfrogged past me and set an out-of-reach 1:26.494 with his brilliant lap, so I had to accept a P2.
To make myself even more miserable, I made a stupid mistake and went off in T2 during the next session, and apparently hit the dirt with my bumper and lost a few fender liner clips -- you can actually see the unattached fender liner if you zoom in on the thumbnail photo. Welp, we'll fix that.
