This was my fastest qualifying lap from my first ever session on the Brands Hatch GP circuit. Conditions were hot and sunny for the session which meant the circuit was generally quite low grip. Overall I was pretty happy with the lap which was enough to take pole by 0.4s. I think it was probably possible to maybe dip into the 1min26s bracket given a perfect lap. My out lap was a bit slow building up to this lap to try and find a gap in the traffic and I was still leaving time on the table going through the 3 fast rights on the GP loop (this was only my 5th flying lap on this circuit configuration).
