The Audi S3 8L, produced from 1999 to 2003, was the first generation of Audi’s hot hatch, combining Quattro all-wheel drive with a turbocharged 1.8-liter inline-four. Its compact design, widened stance, and aggressive styling set it apart from the standard A3, while the 210 hp (later 225 hp) engine delivered sharp acceleration. Equipped with a six-speed manual transmission and a Haldex-based AWD system, the S3 8L offered engaging handling with a refined interior featuring leather and Alcantara sports seats.
