Autódromo La Chutana Mappa Circuito
Maggiori dettagli, tempi sul giro e video per Autódromo La Chutana

Autódromo La Chutana, located south of Lima, Peru, is the country's premier motorsport facility. Constructed in 1970, it has been the epicenter of Peruvian racing for over five decades, hosting a wide variety of national and international events. The circuit was the brainchild of a group of passionate racing enthusiasts who sought to create a dedicated venue for motorsport in Peru.

The track layout is a challenging blend of high-speed straights and technical corners. The main circuit configuration is approximately 2.42 kilometers (1.5 miles) in length. It features a long front straight, allowing for high top speeds, followed by a series of tight, sweeping corners that demand precision and car control. The track surface is asphalt, and while relatively smooth, it can become abrasive, leading to tire degradation, especially in warmer weather. The circuit also includes a shorter oval configuration used primarily for stock car racing.

La Chutana hosts a diverse range of motorsport disciplines, including touring car racing, formula car racing, motorcycle racing, and drag racing. The annual "Las 6 Horas Peruanas," a prestigious endurance race, is a highlight of the Peruvian motorsport calendar. Stock car racing is also incredibly popular, drawing large crowds to witness the intense battles on the oval section. The circuit has also hosted international series, solidifying its reputation as a key motorsport venue in South America.

What makes La Chutana unique is its passionate fanbase and the raw, unfiltered atmosphere that pervades race weekends. The circuit offers a relatively basic, yet authentic, racing experience, where the focus is squarely on the competition. The altitude, while not extreme, can subtly affect engine performance. The circuit's long history and central role in Peruvian motorsport have cemented its place as a national institution, making it a truly special and memorable place for both drivers and spectators alike.
