Ring Knutstorp Carte de la piste
Plus de détails, de temps au tour et de vidéos pour Ring Knutstorp

Ring Knutstorp, also known as Knutstorp Motorbana, is a challenging and historic racing circuit located in the Skåne region of southern Sweden. Originally opened in 1963, it has evolved from a simple dirt track to a demanding asphalt circuit that continues to host a diverse range of motorsport events.

The current layout is approximately 2.07 kilometers (1.28 miles) in length and features a blend of fast corners, tight hairpins, and elevation changes that test both driver skill and car setup. Its clockwise direction leads drivers through a sequence of demanding turns, including the signature "Depåkurvan," a long, sweeping corner that requires commitment and precision. The "Korkskruven" (Corkscrew), a downhill chicane, is another iconic feature, demanding drivers to manage braking and maintain momentum.

Technically, Ring Knutstorp is characterized by its relatively narrow track width and limited run-off areas, emphasizing the importance of accuracy and minimizing mistakes. The circuit's undulating terrain adds another layer of complexity, making it crucial to find the optimal suspension settings. Overtaking opportunities are present, particularly into the hairpin turns, but require bravery and strategic positioning.

Ring Knutstorp hosts a variety of racing disciplines, including Swedish Touring Car Championship (STCC) races, Formula Nordic, GT racing, and various club-level events. It is also a popular venue for test days and driver training programs. Its location in the picturesque Swedish countryside, combined with its challenging layout, makes Ring Knutstorp a unique and rewarding experience for both drivers and spectators. The circuit’s history and the constant improvements to maintain high safety standards ensure its continued relevance in Swedish motorsport.
