Trackday 22 in the G87 and back at Thill East after 3 months. Last time I was shaking down the new setup with aero and Conti ECF 295s. The biggest differences are 4 track days seat time, M2 CS Tune and running stock staggered setup 275 front / 285 wearing Conti ExtremeContact SPORT02s which are essentially Conti's version of the PS4S. Last time at THill East I was consistently doing around 2.03-2.04. I've been running the 295 ECForce and while I really love the durability and consistency of these endurace tires, you do sacrifice max grip I feel compared to the PS4S I was running for a few sets. I got a set of Conti EC Sport02's for my street tires for like 7k miles now and have been VERY impressed with them. They grip just as well, if not better than the PS4S...and they're a few hundred dollars cheaper! Anyway since I've been running 3.5deg neg camber in front, the insides were getting more worn so I figured why not even them out with a track day or 2 :). I was wondering if they have a little more max grip than the ECFs. Well this time around, I blew past my previous best of high 2.03 and landed a 2.00.8. and easily clicked off several 2.01-2.03 throughout the day!

Notes:
- Finally moving to full ESC OFF and started that today in the last few laps of final session (37.37). Didn't feel much different yet which I think speaks to the less intrustive nature of the CS tune changes to MDM mode. I still was able to keep about the same pace. So I hope I only go faster from here.
- At 2.00, I shaved 3 secs off my previous PB! I think the biggest factor was the additional max grip of the Sport02s. Also curiously I was fighting some amount of oversteer thru the day. not sure what that was about yet....
- Really glad I took the stock wheels this time. I was really pushing it today and went 2 wheels off at T6 which was surprisingly gnarly getting back on. Also went fully off at T3. Tires are a little chewed up on the outsides and haven't checked the insides yet. For sure would have bent the VTForged Superlights.
- T1: Really ideal to do initial turn in at that last white painted marker on right edge of track. Everytime I turn in there it felt fast going thru turn and AIM solo lights were telling me they were the fastest times thru the section also
- T2: Think I realized later in day that I need to carry more speed into the turn. Also need to try maybe allowing the additional entry speed have me swinging out a little wider then coming back in to hit apex and have higher exit speed...but not sure that's worth it with scary off-camber T3 coming up quickly right after..
- Still not enamored with the Pagid RSL29s while having amazing wear durability the tradeoff with max stopping power is definitely unnerving especially when charging into T14 and T10. I'll be looking for another set of pads with more bite but still not wear as fast as the EBC RP-X's I had previously....and not cost me $1100-$1200 for a set a pads.

Great day overall and thanks to@lightspeed369 for another great HPDE!
