ECR is a phenomenally well thought out track it has some challenge to chassis dynamics like VIR so will expose limits of a car. HOWEVER it is so LOW GRIP it is really not fun. Within one lap the roll off in time is so high it becomes less fun. WITHIN 5-8 laps the grip is so low the only reason to stay out is to excessively wear the tires or maybe have an off. I WON"T GO BACK UNLESS IT IS PAVED. It's just too far to travel; similar to COTA for way less experiential benefit. This after being at RATL, VIR, WGI, and RATL. I had to adjust my application of car inputs after stint 1 as I had 4 wheels off and was black flagged, yeah dopey me.. but also poor surface. That was on the WARM day of the 2. Lap times just got worse as the day went on. I didn't record any day 1 as the stints were not the most proficient having been 4 years since being there.

New rear sway links did change the balance of the car from all OEM. More understeer in spots (softer front relatively) and wee more oversteer (stiffer rear relatively) depending on location on the track. Only an observation.

DO NOT BUY from Shea Chevrolet Parts in Michigan. I bought a water pump in 10/24 but didn't need, still didn't need it, but replaced in late June 2025 to have a solid NEW part installed, and it has started weeping, so 4months and 7000 miles and it must be replaced. NAPA has a lifetime one. NAPA also has lifetime thermostats BTB.

Chin Track Days are a great auspice but the paddock is great too, as cars are well prepared and driven well especially in the top 2 groups!
