The driver notes that a different R300 model with a 6-speed sequential gearbox previously clocked a 1:52.xx lap.

Despite using very old Yokohama Advan A050 tires (from 2012) found in storage, the car performed surprisingly well. The driver felt the A050 tires were superior to newer Toyo R888R tires, which only yielded a 2:00.3 lap in cooler weather. With the sticky A050s, the driver managed to achieve a "magic" 1:59.x (low 1:59) lap in a separate session that day at 10:30 AM, utilizing left-foot braking to maintain speed. The latter part of the video shows the driver following a friend in an EG race car for a few laps.
