Witness a new AWD record being set at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram, Thailand, during the Special AWD 2017 Division 1, Round 1 race. This impressive lap of 1:42.891 was achieved by driver Chanon Asavasangsidhi in his Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR.

The car, tuned by MitsuSport, featured a MitsuSport 2.4L 4G63 engine, Millers Oils lubricants, M's Racing ME1 camshafts, Aragosta/K-Sport suspension, Dixcel brakes, and Michelin S9L tyres. It was also equipped with a Motec ECU, a stock GSR 5MT gearbox, and a stock RS final drive. The team had fitted new tyres and adjusted settings to achieve this record-breaking performance.

Chanon Asavasangsidhi dominated the event, qualifying in P1 and securing victories in both Race 1 and Race 2 of the Asian Le Mans Series / SEA Formula 4 Support Race.
