Despite facing a challenge with a malfunctioning 3rd gear, the driver managed to secure a new class record during the first session of the day. The car was subsequently parked due to gearbox issues, but the impressive time remained unbeaten. This marks the fourth consecutive year that this DC5 has held the title of fastest FWD and fastest naturally aspirated car at the event.
