The Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport is a high-performance version of the iconic Golf GTI, designed for enthusiasts seeking sharper handling and more power. Introduced in 2016 to celebrate the GTI's 40th anniversary, it features a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine producing up to 296 horsepower with overboost and 280 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG transmission.
The Clubsport stands out with its aggressive styling, including a revised front bumper, larger rear spoiler, and unique alloy wheels. Upgraded brakes, suspension, and limited-slip differential enhance its on-track performance, while retaining the practicality and daily usability for which the GTI is known.
