Honda Civic EG K24 - 1:02.989, Wanneroo Raceway Tuning Day, 4th Feb 2023

I had the immense pleasure of driving Aidan Gould's weapon of a K24 EG Civic during the morning sessions of a tuning day at Wanneroo Raceway here in Perth, Western Australia. This is the fastest N/A 4 cylinder car in WA full stop, with Aidan running a 1:02.2 laptime at WA Time Attack 2022 to win the Tuner class.

After a few gremlins in the early sessions with the throttle not opening past 80%, we got it mostly sorted and I headed out for a single flying lap around lunchtime. It was not a clean lap (all down to me), but I pulled through with a 1:02.989, by far the fastest I've ever driven around Wanneroo and only 0.7s off Aidan's PB. Very stoked with that considering I'd had all of 20 laps experience in this car total!
