Bittersweet weekend at Pitt to close out the 2025 Gridlife Street class season. Positively, I found another 1.5s on my previous best, but the list of negatives is long.

First, Pitt Race closing is probably the most heart-breaking automotive news of 2025. It's such an incredible facility and by far the most fun track within a reasonable driving distance for me. The compression and elevation change through Turn 5 and the multiple blind corners are just so unique and so rewarding.

For me and the car...I ended the weekend in the wall - pushed too hard on the 2nd warmup Sunday morning without waiting for the tires and my brain to warm up - lost the rear through T1, couldn't catch it, and became a passenger into the inside tire wall. Thankfully, the damage is mostly cosmetic, except for a destroyed tie rod and some mangled brake ducting.
Additionally, the car is still running very poorly. After pulling most of it apart and replacing the fuel pump, filters, plugs, injectors, pressure regulators, fuses, ground wires, alternator, battery, and every conceivable sensor, I'm still experiencing issues with inconsistent power delivery. In fact, it got worse at Pitt with choppy acceleration, random power loss, and multiple off-throttle shutdowns (on-track!).
It still *feels* like the problem is electrical, but i've traced most of the connections and can't find anything anomalous. The offseason will see a fully new engine harness, new tune, and possibly a new DME.

Until next year....
