This is an out of car video of #5 Sean Caron driving my Mitsubishi Evo X at the Circuit Grand Bayou during Session 1. #3 Leh Keen in his 2010 Nissan GTR, #2 Catesby Jones in his 2010 Nissan GTR, and #11 Billy Johnson in his 2012 Roush Stage 3 Mustang can also be seen competing in the same run group.
This was the 5th Road course event for the 2011 One Lap of America and despite not knowing the track at all, Sean placed 6th in Session 1 and 5th in Session 2, both 1st in Mid-priced Sedan class finishes. The road course makes partial use of a dragstrip so approaching that wall around a turn in 3rd gear can be quite intimidating.
The custom top mount STM GTX30 turbo setup performed flawlessly all week and was a definite 60 crank HP jump over last years setup without stressing out the stock block past reliability limits. Full specs can be seen

We are happy to report that we finished 1st in class again this year and improved our overall finish to 6th place out of a field of 75 cars. We were also able to help our main sponsor Barry Stewart of Igloo Building Supplies raise over $118,000 for Kids with Cancer!
We plan on being even more prepared for next year's event with a built engine, Aero package, taller gears, and hopefully some more experienced driving!
