Experience a challenging wet lap at Mission Raceway Park in a 2012 BMW E92 M3 Competition Package. This video captures the best lap in extremely wet conditions, navigating hairpins, concrete walls, and significant standing water.
The car is a 2012 BMW M3 Competition Package, featuring a 4.0 litre 8400 rpm V8 engine paired with the 'M' Dual-Clutch Transmission. It's equipped with ECS Tuning, iND, BIMMIAN, CSF, H&R, ACM Test pipes, bpmsport Stage II Tune, Mode Carbon, DINAN, Hawk DTC60, LUX, SCHROTH, APEX ARC8, and BMW M Performance Parts. Maintenance is handled by CG Motorsports. Personal safety gear includes HJC, HANS, Oakley, and Racequip.
The Mission Raceway Park road course, nestled by the Fraser River, is a 2.25-kilometer track with nine turns. It features a high-speed front straight, three challenging hairpin turns (Greg Moore Turn), a grand chicane (Cascade Corners, turns 4-6), and a tight left-right turn 7 leading into sweeping left-handers (turns 8-9) before returning to the front straight. While challenging in dry conditions, the ample rain and standing water make this track particularly fearsome, with very little run-off area and ever-present concrete barriers.
The video includes an overlaid HUD from Harry's LapTimer, displaying instantaneous G-forces, lap time, current speed, and top/minimum speeds for straights and corners. The green dot indicates the car's position on the track map. This particular lap, #35/55, was recorded on May 25, 2020, at 11:24 AM.
