Join us for an exhilarating lap around the iconic Nürburgring Nordschleife! This video captures a thrilling chase between my Porsche Cayman GT4 and my friend Javi's highly modified Mini GP during a recent Green Hell Days track event. While not our fastest lap, it was certainly one of the most enjoyable, focusing on the pure fun of driving with friends on this legendary circuit.

Javi's Mini GP is a beast, boasting 348 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque, weighing in at 1185 kg (plus a 90kg co-driver!). It's equipped with AST springs, Ferodo 3.12 front brake pads, Ferodo Premier rear pads, 225/40/18 Yokohama 052 tires on Protrack wheels, and a custom exhaust. His personal best lap on the Nordschleife is an impressive 7:45.

My Porsche Cayman GT4, with 385 horsepower, is mostly stock, featuring Pagid brake pads, PFC discs, AP fluid, Yokohama 052 tires, and a specialized setup.

You'll notice the Mini GP pulling ahead in the faster sections of the track, showcasing its raw power. However, my GT4 truly shines in the slower corners and under heavy braking, thanks to its superior chassis. This dynamic creates an exciting cat-and-mouse game throughout the lap.

Mid-way through the video, there's a camera switch due to my GoPro 10 overheating (a common issue with older batteries, now resolved with newer models!). The footage then continues from a different perspective, still providing an immersive in-car experience.

We navigate challenging sections like Foxhole, the uphill Kessel, the tricky Brünnchen, and the famous Karussell. Despite the technical demands of the track, these laps are about the sheer joy of driving rather than chasing absolute records. The Mini's final lap time was 7:51.1 BTG (Bridge to Gantry), a fantastic result!
