Best lap of 1:38.7 for street FWD. A bit underpowered for the track, but very pleased with the result. This event marks the 2nd track event the car has been to since it was thrown together over winter. It was tested at Hallett in Oklahoma, then ran at Road Atlanta. I would highly recommend this swap to people looking for a budget swap as it will be overall cheaper than a K series or a B series turbo (especially when the motor gives and it's time for a rebuild). The motor is a junkyard motor bought for $500. Very reliable power and still very quick for an NA setup. The weight issue is a complete fallacy as the car handled very well on street tires. I will continue to build this car and see what it is really capable of down the road. As it sits I don't think it could have gone much faster. I think 1:37s could have been a possibility, but I also wanted to drive the car back home. Will be back next year for sure. I think end goal for this car is to hit 1:34s on an NA setup with street tires.
