Skyline GT-R BNR32
Notas
The Nissan Skyline GT-R BNR32, produced from 1989 to 1993, represents legendary return of GT-R nameplate after 16-year hiatus featuring RB26DETT 2.6-liter DOHC inline-six twin-turbocharged engine with dual Garrett T28 ceramic turbochargers and air-to-air intercooler. Official power output rated at 206 kW (280 PS / 276 horsepower) at 6,800 rpm and 260 lb-ft (353 Nm) torque at 4,400 rpm adhering to Japanese gentlemen agreement limiting advertised horsepower, though actual output measured approximately 313 horsepower at 6,800 rpm. The revolutionary ATTESA E-TS (Advanced Total Traction Engineering System for All Terrain - Electronic) all-wheel-drive system uses microprocessor sensing lateral G-force, throttle opening, and engine speed, distributing torque optimally between front and rear axles. Curb weight of 1,430 kg (3,146 lbs) provides balanced chassis dynamics.
The BNR32 earned "Godzilla" nickname through dominating Group A touring car racing winning 29 consecutive races in Japanese Touring Car Championship and achieving overall victory at 1991 Spa 24 Hours. V-spec and V-spec II variants added 50 kg weight reaching 1,480 kg while including enhanced aerodynamics and Nismo components. The combination of sophisticated twin-turbo inline-six RB26DETT engine responding exceptionally to performance modifications, groundbreaking ATTESA E-TS all-wheel-drive system delivering exceptional traction and handling, motorsport pedigree proving capability against more powerful competitors, and iconic styling makes the R32 GT-R one of most significant Japanese performance cars establishing foundation for GT-R legend continuing through R35 generation.
