The Toyo Proxes R1R is an extreme performance summer tire designed for driving enthusiasts who demand exceptional grip and handling. Developed with technology derived from years of on-track experience, the Proxes R1R aims to deliver elevated performance for both spirited street driving and track days. It is a strong contender for drivers seeking maximum car performance in dry conditions, while still maintaining confident handling in wet conditions.

The Proxes R1R distinguishes itself with a unique combination of features optimized for performance. Its high-grip, silica-reinforced tread compound enhances traction for improved handling during aggressive driving. The tire features a directional "arrowhead" tread design with an extra-wide footprint, balancing dry performance with wet traction. Multi-Width EVAC Channels improve water evacuation to increase hydroplaning resistance. Stability Control Slits offer resistance to irregular wear and improve dry performance by maintaining block stiffness during aggressive braking.

The internal construction of the Proxes R1R features an advanced, competition-inspired modified radial design. Twin high-tensile steel belts, reinforced with spirally wrapped jointless cap and edge plies, control the footprint size and shape. Jointless beads anchor the tire to the wheel, while a high-modulus bead compound and slightly angled body plies work together to stabilize the sidewall. With a UTQG treadwear rating of 200, the Proxes R1R is designed to provide excellent grip for autocross, HPDE, and spirited driving.
