Wetproof

The Nokian Wetproof is a summer tire designed for passenger vehicles, with a focus on providing safety and comfort in wet conditions. It is intended for drivers who prioritize reliable performance on rainy days and variable summer weather.

This tire distinguishes itself through its wet weather capabilities, offering excellent braking and strong aquaplaning resistance. The Wetproof incorporates a Dual Zone Safety concept, which balances dry road handling with wet road performance. The Stability Zone on the outer part of the tire promotes directional stability and handling, while the Wet Safety Zone on the inner part enhances grip on wet surfaces and reduces aquaplaning risk. Nokian Tyres Coanda technology is used to accelerate water evacuation. By directing water flow away from the tire, this design limits water build-up and further reduces the risk of aquaplaning.

The Wetproof utilizes an Aqua Sense rubber compound, optimized for Central European road conditions. This compound enhances wet grip while also limiting rolling resistance and increasing tire lifespan. The ribbed tread design further contributes to dry and wet traction. The tire has a UTQG treadwear rating of 40.
