Más detalles, tiempos de vuelta y videos para Circuit d'Albi

Circuit d'Albi, located near Albi in the Tarn department of southern France, is a historic racing circuit with a rich motorsport heritage. Originally built in 1933 on public roads, the track hosted prestigious pre-World War II Grand Prix races, attracting legendary drivers like Tazio Nuvolari. After the war, a permanent circuit was established in 1951, retaining some sections of the original layout.

The modern Circuit d'Albi is a relatively flat and fast 3.565 km (2.215 mi) circuit, characterized by a mix of high-speed corners and technical sections. The layout is considered flowing and challenging, demanding precision and commitment from drivers. Key corners include the sweeping 'Virage de la Gare' and the tight 'Virage du Séquestre,' both requiring a delicate balance of speed and control. Several chicanes have been added over the years to improve safety and provide overtaking opportunities.

Technically, the circuit features a smooth asphalt surface and relatively wide run-off areas, making it a popular choice for driver training and testing. While not particularly demanding on brakes, the track requires a well-balanced car setup to maximize cornering speed and maintain momentum. The circuit is known for its excellent visibility for spectators, with grandstands and natural embankments offering panoramic views of the entire track.

Circuit d'Albi hosts a variety of motorsport events throughout the year, including French Formula 4, GT racing, touring car championships, and historic racing events. It is also frequently used for club racing, track days, and driver training courses. What makes Circuit d'Albi unique is its blend of classic circuit design with modern safety standards, offering a challenging and rewarding experience for drivers of all levels. The circuit's long history and picturesque location in the French countryside further contribute to its charm and appeal.
