2005 Mazda RX-8 running the VIR Grand West configuration, the same as used by Car & Driver for the annual VIR Lightning Lap competition. This event was held by TrackDaze in November 2016.

There are some fun laps at the start chasing a buddy's Subaru BRZ (youtube GRP.E).

My best lap time of 3:06:09 is some 10 seconds faster than the fastest RX-8 clocked in the Lightning Lap competition. The car is prepped for Time Attack competition in NASA's TTD class. NASA TT is a time attack style event where the best lap of the day is counted.
