10/19/2025 - PCA GGR Red Group Session #1

My second time at Laguna with the first visit being way back in 2023. Coming into the weekend I had set my target at a low to mid 1:39 to give myself a chance at taking P1 in a very hotly contested TT3 class in GGR's Time Trial season. I had pretty much resigned myself to a 1:41+ after struggling with rear and lateral grip all day Friday and Saturday. Conversations over dinner on Saturday and a bit of insomnia aided video / data review helped me tweak lines, cooler temperatures prevented the car from pulling as much power and a new set of rubber solved my grip struggles from earlier days. Definitely would have preferred to shave another eight hundredths off and the lap is pretty rough, but all in all I'm happy with the lap time. Plenty of opportunity to smooth things out and shed some time next trip up.
