This was my first time competing in Global Time Attack @GlobalTimeAttack at my home track — Buttonwillow Raceway Park!
The 2025 Enthusiast Class was incredibly competitive, and I’m thrilled to see so much more participation and energy this year.

This lap was set on Day 2, first session in the morning. Unfortunately, I had a close encounter with a Blue BMW E46 M3 right after Phil Hill, but the lap still came together nicely. Based on data, a 1:58 is definitely achievable with the 300tw Vitour Tempesta Enzo V-01R tires — even on their 4th heat cycle!

My Civic Type R FL5 is completely stock except for:

1. Brake pads, rotors

2. Wheels & tires 

3. Camber plates

I’m really happy to see that a sub-2:00 lap is possible without any aftermarket aeros, coilovers, engine modifications, or tuning. This proves just how capable this platform is straight from the factory! Very impressive Honda!

Next, I’ll be working on more upgrades and prep for the next Global Time Attack season — aiming to push this car even further and secure the Podium. Stay tuned!
