This video captures a member day at Harris Hill Raceway on May 15, 2011, featuring a 2000 Mazda Miata. This was the car's first track outing following a complete engine rebuild, which included the removal of the supercharger and intercooler, and replacement of the water pump. The car performed excellently, with no overheating issues.
The Miata is equipped with several performance upgrades: a BP5A intake camshaft, Raceland header, Roadster Sport mid-pipe and catback exhaust, 550cc injectors, and a Hydra Nemesis 2.5 engine management system. Suspension modifications include Koni Yellow shocks, Eibach Pro-Kit springs, Flyin' Miata frame rails, and a butterfly brace. The car runs on 225/45/15 Toyo R888s mounted on 15x9 Gen 1 6UL wheels.
The driver noted minimal track traffic during the afternoon session, limiting opportunities for close pursuit. The video was recorded using a GoPro HD for video and a Zoom H2 for audio.
