Experience a first-person view of a high-performance time attack lap at the renowned Tsukuba Circuit. This video features the Tilton Interiors 850HP Mitsubishi Evo Lancer, driven by Garth Walden, as it tackles the challenging Japanese track.

The team faced significant hurdles during the event, including an engine failure during testing on Thursday, requiring a head replacement and engine rebuild. Despite these setbacks, they managed to prepare the car for the main event. The vehicle is powered by a 2.2-liter Cosworth engine with a BorgWarner turbo, producing approximately 850 horsepower. Power is delivered through a Holinger 6-speed sequential gearbox. Braking is handled by Alcon brakes, featuring large 375mm front and 350mm rear discs for aggressive deceleration. The suspension package consists of MCA shock absorbers with custom arms and crossmembers. Aerodynamics are provided by Voltex, and the car runs on Yokohama ADVAN AO50 tires.

Special thanks to Unlimited Works for their invaluable support, providing workshop space and mechanical assistance, especially during the engine issues. Appreciation also goes to Nakajima-san from Voltex for his excellent work, and to Yokohama Tires for their sponsorship and for providing the best time attack tires available. The team also extends gratitude to their Australian sponsors, Royal Purple Oils, Tilton Interiors Racing, and Garage 88, as well as all family members who supported them from home.

Team Tilton Interiors plans to return to Japan in December to pursue their goal of achieving a 52-second lap time.
