This video captures a thrilling hotlap in a Dodge Viper ACR at Auto Club Speedway, competing in the NASA TT1 class. The car, weighing 3570 lbs with the driver and boasting 528 average WHP, is equipped with brand new Toyo RR 295/345 tires, Hawk DTC80/70 brake pads, a Rockstar Garage alignment, and a Racebred splitter extension. Despite not being fully optimized for the class (with potential for 200 more WHP), the team is focused on continuous improvement.

The driver notes significant improvements in front downforce thanks to the new splitter extension and fender vents. Throughout the sessions, consistency was key, with lap times hovering around 1:44. The driver observed the car feeling much better at high speeds, reaching a peak of 163 MPH. However, warmer afternoon temperatures led to reduced grip compared to the morning sessions. Minor driving errors, such as rear-end instability and inconsistent braking, were also noted as areas for improvement.

The competition was fierce, with another driver, Chris Bennett, pushing hard after repairing his splitter, setting a 1:45.000 lap. The challenge is on to defend the top spot in the upcoming sessions. The Racebred splitter extension proved durable, holding up well even at high speeds.
