My first time driving the short course version of I29 Speedway / Raceway Park of the Midlands. Car is a 2000 Mazda Miata: mostly stock engine (135whp from bolt ons and ECU), suspension work, and a Nine Lives Racing medium downforce kit. 225/45R15 Falken RT660 tires on 15x9 wheels.
It was cloudy and raining on and off all day, but I was able to get some time on the pretty much dry track to set some fast laps.
The new patches grip really nicely in the wet. The short course turn is pretty rough, but not quite as bad as I've heard it was, hopefully they can fix it at some point, but it's definitely usable.
This was recorded during a Sunday Fundays track day.
