Ride-along with me for a 1:37.01 shakedown lap around Sonoma Raceway in my my Pikes Peak Hill Climb E46 M3 BMW. I am blown away at how much faster the car is on new Toyo prototype slicks! The freshly re-built engine with custom CP pistons and sleeved block takes full advantage of the Ignite RED 114 fuel and allows us to comfortably spray a 100 shot of nitrous with full confidence. Data shows that a low 1:35 was doable if I didn’t hold back and save the car for the upcoming 103rd running of #ppihc in June.
Sonoma recently repaved a rectangular section of T2 near the apex berm and it is awful. So damn bumpy. I hope they fix that soon! I had to compromise my line quite a bit there, because trying to drive the normal route through meant really upsetting the balance of the car.
