GR Yaris 1:42.9 at SMSP GP | NSW Supersprint Round 2 | Rydanz R31 Test
Round 2 of the 2026 NSW Supersprint Championship at Sydney Motorsport Park GP Circuit, pushing the GR Yaris to a 1:42.9 lap time, securing P1 in RM3 and 13th outright, finishing ahead of much more powerful cars.
Perfect sunny conditions with ambient temps around 26–27°C, but track temperatures reached nearly 50°C, making it challenging to extract maximum pace.
First proper test of the Rydanz R31 (200TW tyre), which performed strongly throughout the day and made a big difference in consistency and grip.
On the fastest lap I was 0.7 seconds up into Turn 10, but unfortunately overcooked Turn 11 and the exit onto the straight, just missing out on a new PB by 0.1 seconds.
Strong result overall, but definitely more time left in the car.
