After posting a 1:04.17 during the TT's first outing at 1R, and the day being cut short due to a damaged coolant line, we returned back to 1R to really see what the car could do.
2nd session, 1st hot lap, the car felt incredible and knocked out a 1:03.27, nearly a full second faster than the last event and 2 seconds faster than the RS4 could ever do at the old Wakefield Park circuit.
Sights are now firmly set on dipping into the 1:02's, which with some fresh rubber, i know it will do.
Running Dragy Lap for the first time, which for an entry level telemetry and data analytics hardware/software, is a really impressive bit of kit. With this still being a Beta version, there are features still missing from the OBD reader, but this should be fixed shortly.
Next stop is Aus Time Attack in Winton on the 27th of June where the car is entered into the Prodsprint class, battling it out with what looks like a field of M2's and Supras.
Does the TT have what it takes to hold it's own against the more powerful German/Japanese rivals? We will find out soon!
