The Maserati GranTurismo MC GT4 is a customer racing car based on Maserati's elegant grand touring coupe, developed for global GT4 competition. The GT4 features a modified version of Maserati's Ferrari-derived 4.7-liter V8 engine producing approximately 430-450 horsepower in GT4 Balance of Performance specification, delivering characteristically Italian V8 sound and linear power delivery through a six-speed sequential gearbox with paddle shifters. The naturally aspirated V8 provides strong high-rpm power while maintaining reliability for endurance racing.
The MC GT4 includes comprehensive racing modifications: FIA-certified roll cage, carbon fiber body panels, adjustable aerodynamics including front splitter and rear wing, racing suspension with adjustable dampers and anti-roll bars, limited-slip differential, racing brake system with ABS, and center-lock wheels with racing slicks. Weighing approximately 3,086 pounds per GT4 regulations, the car offers Italian exotic character with professional racing capability. The GranTurismo platform provides excellent weight distribution and sophisticated chassis dynamics, though the larger, heavier GT car platform differs from purpose-designed GT4 cars built on lighter sports car foundations. The MC GT4 competes in various national and regional GT4 series globally, offering teams and drivers the prestige of racing a Maserati with distinctive styling, exotic V8 power, and the cachet of Italian motorsport heritage. Maserati provides customer racing support through regional partners and the car has achieved podium finishes in various GT4 championships.
