The Golf GTI TCR Mk7 is a high-performance version of the popular Mk7 GTI, designed to bridge the gap between the standard GTI and the track-focused Golf R. Inspired by the Touring Car Racing (TCR) series, this limited-edition model features a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, delivering 290 horsepower and 370 Nm (273 lb-ft) of torque. Power is sent exclusively to the front wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DSG), with a standard limited-slip differential ensuring optimal grip during spirited driving.

Performance upgrades include a lower and firmer sports suspension, larger ventilated brakes with optional perforated discs, and the availability of adaptive dampers through the performance package.
