Luddenham Raceway
The Luddenham Raceway is a 0.86-mile (1.38-km) motorsports facility consisting of a karting center, a world-class road course, and many other amenities such as a paintball park located just an hour away from the Sidney Central Business District in New South Wales, Australia. The complex opened its doors in November 2018 as a private initiative to give speed lovers from Sidney a place to unleash their passion for racing in a safe yet exciting environment. The landscape around the track is gorgeous, and the climate in Luddenham is pleasant year-round, getting a little unpredictable sometimes, with heavy rainfall and temperature variations that keep racing teams guessing.
Races start/end in the main straight, going in counter-clockwise orientation through 8 corners, most of them hard to maneuver, which adds a skill challenging aspect to racers hitting the track. The average speed is 57 mph (91 km/h), but it certainly feels a lot faster because of the particularities of the field. Elevation change is a factor in this, with a remarkable 72 feet (22 meters) of vertical gain on the rolling hills where the circuit stands. Luddenham Raceway is an outstanding piece of design, with its ample runoffs, a well-calibrated trajectory, and a privileged location, all of which guarantee a steady stream of motorsports fans in the future to come.
