Ran Sonoma right before the repave and did a 1.51.8 in the F80 and ran a 1.52.0 in the E46 this past weekend on the fresh surface. Was comparing the stack trace from the Garmin app and was curious how the two laps differed. Variables are all over the place but I wanted to see so I threw this clip together. 

The exact same core mods on each: coilovers/wheels/brakes. A few of the corners I'm avoiding wet spots or trying a different line but many of the corners overlap in approach and style.

Can also notice how less bumpy the track is. Much less undulations in the road. Smoother.

My confidence at Sonoma is higher each time I go. Was really going for it this time in the E46. Was even more aggressive than the F80 event. Need to get another go with the F80. Had more room on the table even before repave. Both cars should be under 1.50 on RE71RS/CRS.
