This year I tried racing slicks for the first time. Very nice, I think I could have pushed even harder, but I was fighting a cold and left a day early, so not enough runs to safely get to the bleeding edge of performance.

I ran in a different class this year (OSPU) because I wanted to bring my big wang, but non-stock wings are not allowed in Street Prepared. I decided not to compromise because I really like my ride the way it is and didn't want to deal with the likelihood of winding up going slideways off the cliff.

The former record for OSPU was 2:11 set in 2016. OSPU, or "Over Street Prepared Under" is a class that lands between Street Prepared (which is what I ran in last year) and Modified. The last letter is used to divide the class into Under 2.5 Liters (that's me at 2.2) and Over 2.5. It still restricts power mods like adding a turbo or super charger to a car that didn't come with one from the factory - that's for the Modified class.
