This video captures my fastest lap of the day at a Lee Grimes 100 Speed HPDE held on August 6th, 2011, at Putnam Park Road Course. I was driving a 2005 Mazda RX-8, which was equipped with KW V3 coilovers and 255 Hankook RS3 tires. The recorded lap time was 1:28.600, achieved while closely following a friend in a Spec Miata. The ambient temperature during the session was 80 degrees Fahrenheit, and I managed to reach a maximum speed of 114 mph on the front straight.
