The Little 1.3 That Could.
Alhamdulillah after 4 separate attempts of trying to beat the 3 minute laptime wall, I managed to get just below it on the 5th attempt.
With very little done in terms of prep (only bled the brakes and alignment), and tyre donations from very kindhearted friends; Shoutout to MatZul and Kishaan, I somehow managed to shave about ~4 odd seconds from my previous time to get a new PB of 2:58.81.
With cars as slow as my Saga, building up speed takes ages so keeping as much momentum for as long as possible is the key to setting a decent laptime. Therefore minimal traffic is certainly the biggest contributor to this personal best I'd say.
Now can properly 'pencen' this car from track driving because it has gotten to the point where it simply isn't fun anymore to push it hard 🤣 (Spoiled by manual cars).
