The Proxes R utilizes a next-generation tread compound to maximize grip. The tire features a semi-slick tread design with two symmetric circumferential grooves. This symmetric design allows the tire to be mounted on either side of the car and even flipped inside out to extend its life. The construction promotes predictable handling and consistent lap times. Compared to its predecessor, the Proxes RR, the Proxes R offers quicker and more predictable performance while maintaining consistency and durability. While the Proxes R meets DOT requirements, it is not recommended for wet conditions or near-freezing temperatures. Like other track and autocross tires, the Proxes R should be stored indoors at temperatures above 15°F. The tire benefits from heat cycling and scuffing in before competition.
