Chengdu Goldenport Circuit Carte de la piste
Plus de détails, de temps au tour et de vidéos pour Chengdu Goldenport Circuit

The Chengdu Goldenport Circuit is a 2.09-mile (3.36-km) race track located in Chengdu, at the center of the so-called "Land of Abundance," in Sichuan province, China. The city of Chengdu boasts China's fastest-growing economy and a population of 20 million people, a combination of factors creating the perfect conditions to have crowded motorsports events at the racing circuit. The Asian Touring Car Series, the A1 Grand Prix, and the Formula V6 Asia use the venue regularly. There are plans to receive a Formula 1 race shortly, but some redevelopment work is needed to obtain the FIA Grade 1 license. Chengdu is warm and humid most of the year, except during its short, snowless winters.

There are 13 turns in the clockwise-oriented trajectory of the Chengdu Goldenport Circuit. The track surface is bumpy and tends to retain moisture, which creates a technical challenge of maneuvering without spinning on sharp corners. Races start/finish in the middle of the long straight and go through a trajectory with a good dose of elevation changes. The views around the track are spectacular, especially at the exit of turn four, where Chengdu's skyline appears clearly on the horizon. The segment between turns five and thirteen offers highly technical difficulties for racers, with blind corners sneaking one after another over bumpy terrain. A top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) is possible for high-performance vehicles racing on the front straightaway.
