Mito
Mito City is the "natto city." Mito is Ibaraki Prefecture's capital. Population is about 270,000. Mito is famous for "Mito natto." For Mito residents, "natto" is pride. Mito residents pour passion into eating natto. But no passion for "driving cars." Mito is about 100km from Tokyo. About 70 minutes by train. Many Mito residents commute to Tokyo. For Mito residents, "cars" are unnecessary. Mito is close to Tsukuba Circuit (about 60km). But Mito residents don't go. Mito residents live in the natto city. Not interested in motorsport.
Mito experiences mild winters averaging 9–10°C and hot, humid summers peaking at 30°C with frequent rain, making spring (March–June) the ideal track-day season with temperatures climbing from 14–24°C and drier conditions.
